Kumar Sangkkara, one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game, will retire after the second Test match of the Cricbuzz Cup 2015 between Sri Lanka and India. In his long playing career, Kumar Sangakkara achieved great individual milestones that contributed massively towards the success of Sri Lankan cricket in all three formats of the game.

This is what the great Sachin Tendulkar said about Kumar Sangakkara before his final test match:

“Sanga had his own style of batting. Left-handers are generally good to watch, and so was he. Of course, as an opposition player, I naturally didn’t enjoy watching him bat when he got going! Sangakkara has had a great, accomplished career. He has been a role model for not just the Sri Lankans, but for cricketers across the world.”
