Naveen-ul-Haq, who has been at the receiving end of criticism and trolling on social media for his attitude throughout the ongoing season, has once again grabbed all the eyeballs. Yes, Naveen is once again trending on social media, and this time not for any controversial reasons but for his performance in the ongoing IPL 2023 as Lucknow Super Giants is taking on Mumbai Indians at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
Naveen-ul-Haq Is On A Roll
Naveen ran through the dangerous batting line-up of Mumbai Indians as he picked up four big wickets — Rohit Sharma, Cameron Green, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma. In his four overs quota, the pacer has given away 38 runs but his performance has kept LSG in the game.
MI’s captain Rohit Sharma became Naveen’s first victim. He dismissed Rohit early in the innings and then picked up both Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav in a span of three balls to get LSG back in the tie. He then came back and picked up the crucial wicket of Tilak Varma in his final over to end his spell.
More than his performance, it was his celebration that stole the limelight. After picking up wickets, Naveen covered his ears with a finger each – a celebration that LSG’s regular captain KL Rahul often does when he scores a ton – and then turned to adjust his collar.
