Indian star cricketer Shardul Thakur has once again come to India’s rescue as once again he stole the show with his bat. On Day 4 of the 4th Test match, Shardul once again gave a stunning performance and made a crucial contribution to take India’s total a bit higher.
Shardul walked out to bat after the Indian side lost the wickets of Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane, and Virat Kohli in quick successions. Shardul didn’t let the pressure get to his head and he formed a brilliant partnership with Rishabh Pant to put the visitors in control.
Thakur started his innings with all guns blazing. From stunning straight drives to his amazing six, Shardul played some cracking shots and soon he smashed yet another brilliant fifty to put India in a commanding position.

However, the Shardul Thakur show soon came to end after he was caught out at first slip off Joe Root’s delivery. Root finally managed to bring an end to this brilliant partnership of Pant and Thakur. He was dismissed after scoring 60 runs off 72 balls, smashing 7 fours and a six. Rishabh Pant too reached his fifty but was also dismissed after Thakur.
