10 Best Tweets After Team India Defeated West Indies In 3rd T20I To Complete Clean Sweep

The West Indies cricket team ended their forgettable India tour with a 17-run defeat in the third and last T20I match against team India. Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team registered a 17-run win in the 3rd T20I to whitewash West Indies by 3-0.

Team India outperformed West Indies in both batting and bowling departments at different stages of the game. The biggest positive from the game was to see the youngsters stepping in to rescue the Indian side.

Before going into the game, the team India made four changes, but one of the most surprising things was to see Rohit Sharma giving up his opening place to youngsters — Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

After losing Ruturaj Gaikwad early in the innings today, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer steadied the ship and rebuilt the innings. However, team India lost quick wickets in the middle. But Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer joined hands and put together 91 runs helping the Indian side to post a total of 184 on the scoreboard.

Later, while chasing the target, the West Indies couldn’t get to a good start, after having lost both their openers Shai Hope and Kyle Mayers very early in the innings.

It was Deepak Chahar who gave the Indian side a perfect start by picking up with the Windies openers with a couple of beauties before he left the field with an injury. Team India was then put on the back food by Nicholas Pooran and Powell but they roared back into the game.

Everyone excluding Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan picked wickets. Though Shardul Thakur gave a much-needed breakthrough to team India, it was Harshal Patel who stole the show by picking 3 wickets. He was terrific in the 19th over, which changed the game.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were thrilled with the stunning win of the Indian cricket in the just-concluded tour. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to Twitter and hailed the amazing performances of the Indian cricketers.

A clean sweep for #TeamIndia.
My namesake Venkatesh Iyer showed great temperament throughout the series and the bowling in the end overs in the last two matches from India was outstanding despite the dew. Good series win #IndvWI

India had to bring in Lord Shardul to ensure a whitewash.
