10 Best Tweets After Team India Defeated West Indies To Take 2-0 Lead

The West Indies cricket team once again failed to break the winning streak of the Indian cricket team in the ongoing tour. Team India has been dominating in this series so far. After clinching victory in the first T20I match, the Indian side managed to defeat West Indies in the second T20I match by 8 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match T20I series. The Indian side has sealed the series with a game in hand.

The just-concluded 2nd T20I turned out to be a cracking contest between the two teams, with the last over thrill but team India managed to defend 186 runs.

The pacers started brilliantly well for team India as there was a swing but they didn’t get any reward. The spinners then came into the action and they managed to get both the openers. The sloppy fielding by fielders kept the team at the bay as they dropped two catches and both the batters went on to scored half-centuries.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a splendid penultimate over as he gave away only 4 runs and also picked a wicket. He was backed by Harshal Patel, who bowled the last over and he did a brilliant job. Sensational knocks from Rovman Powell (68*) and Nicholas Pooran (62) went in vain.

Earlier, significant contributions from Virat Kohli (52), Rishabh Pant (52), and late blitzkrieg from Venkatesh Iyer helped the Indian side to post a target of 186 runs.

Meanwhile, the cricket fans on social media were thrilled with team India defeating West Indies in the 2nd T20I match. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone came up with amazing tweets, while praising the performance of team India.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Virat was very good and Pant was excellent. Venkatesh too was impressive. Good score this from India. Dew might be an issue but still the Indians will fancy this. #IndVWI

One more series win by team India. Nicely led by Rohit. Bowling with wet ball and defending total was most satisfying for me. #INDvWI
