10 Best Tweets On Day 1 Of The First Test Between India And New Zealand: Batting first in New Zealand has never been easy for the Indian cricket team and team India got another proof of this fact today playing against New Zealand in the first Test in Wellington on Day 1. Though rain spoiled the game in the end but the New Zealanders had already done a lot of harm to the Indian side.

The opening duo — Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal failed to give a solid start to the game. Prithvi Shaw was sent back in the fifth  Tim Southee delivered a proper outswinging delivery to dismiss Prithvi Shaw.
Following their wickets, Cheteshwar Pujara then blunted the ball as he tried to bring back momentum to the game however, he was dismissed after he received a peach of a delivery from the debutant Kyle Jamieson. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli also followed suit by getting out by the hands of the debutant Kyle Jamieson.

As the wickets were falling in quick successions, Mayank Agarwal and Ajinkya Rahane maintained their cool and displayed great composure until Mayank Agarwal was sent back to the pavilion. In the second session, the debutant Kyle Jamieson once again took charge and took away the wicket of Mayank Agarwal by pulling off an amazing catch to send Mayank Agarwal back to the pavilion after scoring 34 runs.
Hanuma Vihari also failed to leave a mark and was dismissed by Jamieson to provide the much-needed breakthrough. At 122/5 the Indian cricket team ended their first day of the match before rain gods decided to ruin the match.
While the Indian fans were disappointed after the poor show by Virat Kohli and the team, on the other hand, fans were equally thrilled after the brilliant performance of Jamieson.
