Second Ind vs NZ T20I turned out to be another thrilling match but it completely contrasted with the first T20i against New Zealand. The Indian cricket team defeated New Zealanders by 7 wickets and are now leading the series by 2-0. Team India gave yet another brilliant performance in all the three departments of the game to register their win.
Before the match started, Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat first. However, their decision failed miserably as India strangled them down with some superb bowling and then by chasing the target easily.

The New Zealand openers — Martin Guptill and Colin Munro failed it to give a good start to their side but the duo hung in there and scored runs at a relatively slower speed. Martin Guptil looked in good form but he was dismissed off by Shardul Thakur’s delivery in the sixth over after he had scored 33 off 20 balls. Soon after, Colin Munro was also dismissed after scoring 26 runs off 25 balls.
Ravindra Jadeja with the ball that stood out from the rest. Not just he took two big wickets — Kane Williamson and Colin De Grandhome but also conceded only 18 runs off his 4 overs, where he delivered 9 dots. Ravindra Jadeja departed Kane Williamson and Colin De Grandhome in quick successions. The Indian bowlers restricted the New Zealanders to 132 runs only.
The Indian cricket team had a terrible start to their innings as India lost its captain and vice-captain in quick successions. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul tried giving a good start to the game but Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring only 8 runs. Soon after KL Rahul also made his way towards the pavilion after scoring 11 runs.

But KL Rahul made sure to not let the pressure affect his game. KL Rahul continued with his brilliant form and smashed the bowlers to all the corners of the ground. He scored 57 runs in 50 balls, where he smashed 3 fours and 2 sixes. Shreyas Iyer also gave a thrilling performance and kept everyone on the edge of their seats. He scored 44 runs off 33 balls and smashed 1 four and 3 sixes.
As soon as the Indian cricket team won the second match, Twitter was already flooded with tweets praising the Indian cricketers. From fans to cricketers, everyone took to their twitter and hailed Team India.

लगातार दूसरे मैच में जड्डू ने तगड़ी गेंदबाज़ी की। 2 wickets in 4 overs and conceded just 18 runs! Only bowler who didn’t give a four or six in his bowling! Outstanding effort by @imjadeja helped India keeping New Zealand very quiet in the middle overs. #NZvsIND pic.twitter.com/n3smkRcPDe
