The Cricket fraternity went berserk after young Indian batsman Ishan Kishan stole the show with his power-packed performance in the ongoing 2nd T20I match against England in the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Well, ahead of the 2nd T20I match dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan and run-machine in domestic cricket, Surya Kumar Yadav was handed over their much-awaited debut caps.
Ishan Kishan earned his place in the playing XI of the Indian squad all thanks to his consistent performances in the IPL and in the domestic circuit. He played an instrumental role in Mumbai Indian’s triumph during the 2020 Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates. Ishan Kishan was the leading run-scorer for MI in the 2020 edition of the IPL, scoring 16 runs at an average of 57.33.
And as he walked out to open the innings for India today along with KL Rahul, he fulfilled the expectations of the Indian fans. He made sure that he made most of the chance he got as he slammed a superb half-century on his debut match.
He went for big hits and boundaries regardless of the bowler and smashed 56-runs off 32 balls, his knock was laced with 5 fours and 4 sixes. However, he was dismissed after he tried to switch hit for the second time off Adil Rashid.
