India’s pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah once again proved why he is hailed as one of the best bowlers in the world right now. Like several times before, Jasprit Bumrah provided India a much-needed breakthrough on Day 4 of the ongoing Boxing Day Test match against South Africa in Centurion.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a beautiful incoming delivery to castle South Africa’s van der Dussen during the second innings of the first Test. But that wasn’t it, Bumrah followed it up with another stunning jaffa at the stroke of Stumps to remove nightwatchman Keshav Maharaj.

The Indian pace trio was all over the South African team. Chasing a target of 305 runs to win, Mohammed Shami managed to dismiss opener Aiden Markram in the second over. Shami soon got Keegan Petersen to nick one behind in the 15th over.

However, Dean Elgar and Rassie van der Dussen formed a partnership and they looked all set to block India out. But Jasprit Bumrah ensured to crush their hopes as he dismissed van der Dussen with absolute beauty, ending a 40-run stand. In the final over of the day, Bumrah got rid of nightwatchman Keshav Maharaj, as he unleashed his YORKER.

Bumrah doesn’t need to have 250 or 300 wickets in tests to prove he is the greatest of all time
His brilliance in sena and WI during our golden period in tests will be cherished forever

Bumrah has spoilt me so much that I each time he comes up with these magic shows, I have to remind myself: this is not normal.

Bumrah had played just 24 tests and he had already became our greatest ever pacer. I don’t think this had happened for any other team. What a talent bumrah is

Bumrah is normalising being special. His skill set and tactical acumen is going to put him in India’s ATGs debate in another consistent couple of years. #SAvIND
