India’s young wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant stole the show with his batting heroics but couldn’t convert it into his maiden century in the ongoing second ODI match of the three-match series. Despite missing out on registering his maiden ODI century, Rishabh entertained the cricket lovers with a stunning knock.
Rishabh Pant walked out to bat at no.4 after being promoted for the position. He had a big responsibility to score some big runs as India had lost both Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in successive overs. However, Pant didn’t let the pressure get to his head.
FIFTY!

KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant formed a brilliant partnership and brought the momentum back to the side. Together they helped in building a solid foundation in the middle-overs. Both the cricketers stitched a 115-run partnership before KL Rahul was dismissed by Sisanda Magala.
Rishabh Pant showed immense fighting spirit as he played with a “no pressure” attitude and smashed the Proteas bowlers all around the stadium. Pant scored 85 runs in just 71 balls in Paarl as he missed his maiden ODI century by a few runs. His stunning knock was laced with 10 boundaries and two sixes.
Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with amazing tweets and posts for Rishabh Pant. From cricketers, fans, to experts everyone took to Twitter and hailed the stunning knock of Pant.

Rishabh Pant showing why it’s difficult for the spinners to bowl in the middle overs with 5 inside the circle…you gotta put pressure on them to exploit that rule. ??? #SAvInd

Talking about the game, team India found themselves as both Rahul and Rishabh Pant departed in quick successions. Shreyas Iyer also couldn’t contribute much with the bat as he scored only 11 runs, leaving India in trouble at 2017-5, at the time of writing this article.
