10 Best Tweets On The Gutsy Knock Of Shardul Thakur On Day 3: Team India began Day 3 of the ongoing fourth and final Test match with a shaky note, with the team losing the crucial wickets of skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara. However, the lower batting order of the Indian cricket team put up a powerful show after team India lost their first 6 wickets for 186 runs on day 3 of the ongoing fourth Test match.

Debutant Shardul alongwith Washington Sundar fought back for India to get the team to a decent total. Shardul Thakur walked into bat with all guns blazing after team India were already six down in the first innings. However, unlike other batsmen, Shardul made sure to not let himself suffer against the best bowler in the world, Pat Cummins.

In fact, just on the third ball of his knock, Shardul pulled Pat Cummins for a huge six and if that was not enough, that six was the first score of Shardul in Test cricket. Also with that six Shardul Thakur became the second Indian player to have their first scoring shot in Test cricket as a six.

Shardul Thakur formed a formidable partnership with Washington Sundar of a brilliant 121-run stand for the seventh wicket and together they took the game by storm. Both the cricketers soon scored their respective half-centuries. However, the partnership was broken by Pat Cummins, who bowled Shardul on 67 runs. Shardul played a powerful knock, where he smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes.

Meanwhile, social media was all praises for the newcomer Shardul Thakur for his gutsy knock. Several cricketers, fans, and experts took to their twitter and hailed the brilliance of Thakur. There were many who came up with hilarious memes while showering praises on the debutant.
