India Maharajas made a stunning start in the ongoing Legends League Cricket 2022 by winning the inaugural match in Muscat on Friday. The Pathan brothers – Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan, stole the show as they put a stellar show against Asia Lions by six wickets in a 176-run chase.
Yusuf Pathan stole the show with the bat as he formed as he stitched a match-winning partnership with Mohammad Kaif. Yusuf walked out to bat when India Maharajas were at 34 runs for 3 months from 6.1 overs, however, he took the match by storm from the first ball he face itself.
Mohammed Kaif led India Maharaja needed 142 runs in under 14 overs. Yusuf Pathan smashed the Asia Lions’ bowlers all around the ground as he smashed some powerful strokes against the seamers before he took on the spinners – Muralitharan and Mohammad Hafeez.
Yusuf Pathan brought up his fifty in a stunning way with a six in the 15th over of the chase and he was all set to take India home before he was dismissed on 80 runs off 40 deliveries. His stunning knock was laced with nine fours and five sixes. Mohammad Kaif and Irfan Pathan then proceeded to seal the chase without breaking a sweat in the final over of the chase.
