It was a thriller from the ruthless team India to help Indian seal their first-ever T20I series in New Zealand. The incredible last over from Mohammed Shami and Rohit Sharma outsmarting Kane Williamson’s top-knock, shattered the hopes of the New Zealand cricket team and made everyone sit on the edge of their seats.
Chasing a massive score on the board, Martin Guptill and Colin Munro started things well for their side, however, Indian bowlers showed their brilliance and hit back with quick wickets in the middle.
New Zealand’s skipper Kane Williamson walked in with blazing guns and went on to give a powerful knock by scoring 95 runs off 48 balls, smashing 8 fours and 6 sixes. However, India’s Mohammed Shami shattered their hopes into pieces.
Mohammed Shami stepped in picked up the wickets of Kane Williamson (95) and Ross Taylor (17) in the last over to take the match to the Super Over.
