RCB has six Australian players in their squad now, out of which five players played against New Zealand in the just concluded 1st of the 5-match Test series at the Hagley Oval.

While a lot was expected from the Australian batsmen, none of them had greatly impressive outings. While RCB’s retained bowler Kane Richardson conceded 42 runs and went wicketless in his 4 overs, on the other hand, Adam Zampa ended his innings with 0/20 in three overs.

However, the biggest disappointment for the RCB’s fans was Glenn Maxwell’s poor performance. Glenn Maxwell raised a lot of eyebrows after he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping INR 14.25 crores after an intense bidding war.

It has been a long time since Maxwell has been struggling with his form, especially in IPL. During the previous edition of the IPL, he scored 108 runs at a strike-rate of 101.88 from 13 matches but despite this, the cricketer was bought for a whopping 14.25 in IPL 2021 auctions by RCB.

However, his performance in the just concluded 1st T20I match has disappointed one and all. The cricketer was dismissed after scoring only one run.
