In the just-concluded match against Rajasthan Royals, Rohit Sharma’s team showed immense fighting spirit as they defeated Rajasthan Royals in the must-win match to stay alive in the tournament. Mumbai Indians’ bowlers did an incredible job with the ball. James Neesham, Nathan Coulter, and Jasprit Bumrah stole the show with the ball as they gave a hard time to the Rajasthan Batsmen.
Asked to bat first, Rajasthan Royals’ opening duo Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis once again got them off to a decent start. Bumrah struck and pinned the dangerous-looking Lewis in front of the stumps and what followed was the collapse of the Royals’ batsmen.

James Neesham, who was playing his first match of the ongoing season for Mumbai Indians, picked crucial wickets at regular intervals. Royals’ batsmen failed to find the momentum throughout their innings and were eventually bundled up after scoring only 90 runs.
Chasing the target of only 90 runs was like a cakewalk for the Mumbai Indians. Though they lost two wickets, MI reached 56 in the first six overs. Rohit Sharma (22 runs off 13 balls) and Ishan Kishan (50 off 25 balls) gave a flying start to Mumbai Indians. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya took the team home and defeated RR by 8 wickets.
