10 Hilarious Tweets After Ajinkya Rahane Failed Yet Again

The Indian cricket team is up against New Zealand in the ongoing first of the two-Test match series in Kanpur. After whitewashing the Kiwis in the recently-concluded 3-match T20I series, the hosts are expected to put on another stellar show in the purest form of cricket now. The Indian cricket team is being led by the stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane, in the absence of regular captain Virat Kohli.

Before coming into the game, a lot was expected from the bat of the Indian skipper, who has been receiving criticism about his poor form for a long time. In fact, several pundits and experts have even questioned his place in the playing XI, let alone him leading the side.

His form has been turning into a grave concern for the Indian side as he is unable to produce anything from his bat for a long time now. It was on the Boxing Day Test match against Australia when Ajinkya Rahane last smashed a century as he played a crucial knock of 112 runs. Ever since then, Rahane has only scored 2- half-centuries in the 19 innings he has played. His numbers are proof that the cricketer is struggling badly to flaunt the usual class that he is known for.

On Thursday, Rahane failed to leave a mark with his performance yet again. The stand-in skipper once again failed to convert his knock into a big number as he fell cheaply after scoring just 35 runs as in-form Kyle Jamieson continued to trouble the Indian side. He played a knock of 35 runs off 63 balls, smashing 6 boundaries at the strike rate of 55.56.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were left disappointed with the performance of Ajinkya Rahane in the ongoing 1st Test match. There were many, who came up with hilarious responses to Rahane’s poor form.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Rahane has done it again! Just when India needed 35 runs, he has scored exactly that. #INDvNZ

Why is Rahane captaining the team from which he should be dropped???

Rahane can’t be criticized because he isn’t picked for batting. He is picked for his honesty and respect for Indian cricket.

This is Rahane’s legacy . He was looking so confident . But we all knew his wicket is just round the corner

— Sad Pubeman fan (@gillfan_) November 25, 2021

Whenever we feel rahane will score big today, he gifts his wicket away!!

Getting out after good start same old stories of Rahane is continue.

Brainfade ? rahane.

— Harman (@Harman35673056) November 25, 2021

Rahane would say he was selfless there. Why score 100 and take batting opportunities away from others.

— Saurabh Malhotra (@MalhotraSaurabh) November 25, 2021

Ajinkya Rahane unites cricket twitter. Be it Rohit fan or Kohli fan, everyone is bashing him. What a legend.
