10 Most Hilarious Memes On Ajinkya Rahane After His Recent Failure

Unnati MadanBy Unnati Madan13/01/2022Updated:09/02/2023No Comments3 Mins Read

In what could be called the end of the road, senior batter and former Test vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane has failed once again in the ongoing third and final Test match against South Africa in Cape Town, leaving team India in a state of bother.

Ajinkya Rahane walked out to bat after the dismissal of Cheteshwar Pujara, who also failed to deliver with the bat and was dismissed for 9 runs by Marco Jansen. Pujara went back to the pavilion without adding more runs to the scoreboard. But that’s not it, Rahane too did not manage to stay long as Kagiso Rabada sent him back to the pavilion after scoring just a run.

Rahane who has been going through the worst phase in his career is probably playing his last match considering there are plenty of talented youngsters waiting for an opportunity in the middle-order spot. Though, Rahane showed glimpses of their glorious past with a strong partnership in the second Test but he failed to produce a good knock in the ongoing Test match.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were left disappointed with the performances of Ajinkya.  From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to Twitter to express their disappointment on Rahane’s poor form. There were many who came up with hilarious memes and jokes while trolling the former vice-captain. #ThankYouRahane started trending on Twitter as fans are trolling him left, right and center for his recent failures.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Not a single soul in the Indian dressing room stood up to laud Rahane and Pujara after they got out in their farewell Test. Disrespectful. #SAvIND

Since November 2016 Ajinkya Rahane has played 53 Tests with an average of 32.02…remove BAN/WI Tests and his average is 27.64…his record against top teams
Tests – 45
Runs – 2073
Avg – 27.64
? – 3
50s – 10
This is pathetic from captain/coach/selectors who aren’t dropping him

Surely it’s time for Shreyas Iyer in place of Rahane in the XI from the next Test series. #SAvInd
