10. SUNIL GAVASKAR (5 ft 5 in):

Sunil Gavsakar, who is also known as the “original” Little Master, is one of the greatest batsmen to have ever played the game of cricket. Gavaskar, who is just 5 feet 5 inches tall, was one of the most technically correct batsman, and he was one of the best players of short-pitched bowling, as he used to pull and hook the dangerous West Indian bowlers without a helmet.

9. ALVIN KALLICHARRAN (5 ft 5 in)

Alvin Kallicharran played 66 Tests and 3 One Day International (ODI) matches for West Indies. Kallicharran, who is also 5 feet 5 inches tall, won the Wisden Cricketer of the Year Award in 1973.

8. TATENDA TAIBU ( 5 ft 5 in)

Tatenda Taibu is 31 years old, but he still looks like 20. Taibu became the vice-captain of Zimbabwe at the age of 19. Just a year later, Taibu became the youngest ever captain, aged 20, when he captained Zimbabwe in an ODI against Sri Lanka.

His strokes, particularly the late-cut was nothing less than angelic. Viswanath’s match-winning knock of 97 against a rampaging Andy Roberts at Madras in 1974-75, is said to be one of the best ever.

5. PARTHIV PATEL (5 ft 3 in):

Parthiv Patel is the shortest cricketer to have represented India in international cricket. Parthiv Patel made his Test debut in 2002 and he, at 17 years, 153 days, became Test cricket’s youngest wicketkeeper.

4. MUSFIQUR RAHIM (5 ft 3 in)

Mushfiqur Rahim was only 16 when he made his debut in the Test series against England. Rahim, who is No. 4 in the list of shortest international cricketers, is one of Bangladesh finest cricketers ever. Rahim has played 41 Tests and 135 ODIs for Bangladesh.

3. MOMINUL HAQ (5 ft 3.5 in)

Mominul Haq is No. 3 in the list of shortest international cricketers. Mominul is a very promising young batsman. He has scored 938 runs in 10 Test matches at an average of 58.12, so far in his career.

2. TICH CORNFORD (5 ft 2 in)

Tich Cornford was one of the smallest wicketkeepers to play in first-class cricket, for he stood only 5 feet 2 inches.

Kruger van Wyk, who is just 4 feet 9 inches tall, is the shortest player in the history of cricket. Kruger van Wyk has played 9 Test matches for New Zealand.
