NZ vs Afg: The Indian cricket team crushed Scotland by 8 wickets and 81 balls to spare on Friday to keep their hopes alive to make it through the semifinals in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup tournament. However, the fate of team India is now in hands of Afghanistan, thanks to the weird situation.

The scenario for team India to qualify for the T20 World Cup semi-finals is that the Virat Kohli and Co. need to beat Namibia on 8 November but before that Afghanistan must beat New Zealand on 7 November.

All eyes will be on the NZ vs Afg clash which will take place on November 7 in Abu Dhabi. If the Afghanistan cricket team wins the match, the chances of India making it to the semi-finals will increase, but if the New Zealand cricket team wins it, they will qualify for the semi-finals and India’s hopes will be thrashed.

With Afghanistan winning the match against New Zealand, will give India a chance to defeat Namibia, by a certain margin to make it to the final four and eventually making it to the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Indian fans have done all their calculations and permutations about how India can make it to the semi-finals of the high-voltage tournament. Fans are now praying and hoping for the Afghanistan cricket team to beat the Black Caps so that team India stays afloat in the tournament.

Social media has been buzzing with hilarious memes and tweets from Indian fans, who just can’t stop praying for Afghanistan to defeat the Kiwis.
