Rajasthan Royals’ superstar player Jos Buttler, who is in some terrific form off-lately, played yet another big knock in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
It won’t be wrong to say that Jos Buttler is probably the most feared T20 player in the world at the moment, having already hit a purple patch in the ongoing season of IPL.
After a decent start to his innings against Delhi Capitals on Friday, 22 April, Buttler took the game by storm as he started dealing in sixes and boundaries after a relatively quiet powerplay. Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal joined hands with each other and recorded the first 100-run opening stand of the IPL 2022 as together they smashed the Delhi Capitals bowling attack to all the corners of the ground.
Jos Buttler reached the 3-figure mark in just 57 deliveries in a knock that included 8 boundaries and 8 sixes (so far). Now with three centuries to his name already, Buttler has emerged as the biggest superstar of IPL 2022 and it won’t be much of a surprise if he actually gets a few more.
With this century, Buttler has joined Virat Kohli in a rare record as he has become only the second player in the history of the league to score three or more centuries in a season. It has to be noted that former RCB captain Virat Kohli is the only player in the Indian Premier League’s history to have smashed four centuries in a season and this record might be under the threat at the moment.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left in awe of Jos Buttler’s talent and batting prowess as he smashed another century. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to Twitter and hailed the brilliance of Buttler.
