Since months, we have seen and heard that Virat Kohli, the blue eyed boy of Indian Cricket, and Anushka Sharma, the bubbly actress from Bollywood, are in love. Although none of them has ever confirmed this, their increasing presence in each other’s lives has given enough proofs that they are more than just friends.
Of late, the young celebrities have been spotted together on several occasions. Ever since they met on a shoot for a popular hair-care product advertisement, the rumours have been rife that there is more to it than what meets the eye.
Earlier this year, there were reports that Virat reportedly went to visit Anushka after an international series ended in January, and then there were pictures showing them taking a stroll while walking hand in hand in New Zealand in February. Virat also supported the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress when her lip surgery became the talk of the town. Recently, when Virat brought in his 26th birthday, Anushka reportedly flew to Ahmedabad to be by his side.
However, even after all this, Virat and Anushka never came forward and accepted their budding romance. Reportedly, Virat has always maintained a low profile when it comes to his love life and he wants to focus on his career first before being dragged into commitment news.
These all speculations almost came to an end when after scoring the 32nd fifty in his career and being the fastest batsman to score 6000 runs, Kohli kissed his helmet and bat before blowing a kiss to the stands, where Anushka was seen standing and giving him a standing ovation. The little smile that was on the lips of Virat afterwards was enough to take a hint on how special Anushka has become for him.
Well, now that he has unofficially declared his love for Anushka, let’s wait for an official declaration from their end before confirming that they are more than just friends. Also, if Virat and Anushka want to keep this a secret, we honour their wish, because with the impending release of PK, Bombay Velvet and her home production NH 10, Anushka has enough to concentrate on, and Virat must be focused enough for the 2015 World Cup that starts in less than a 100 days.
