Cricket South Africa (CSA) have announced the preliminary 30-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 as required by the tournament regulations. The 30-man squad announced by CSA has lots of young names. Many domestic performers have been included in the preliminary squad.

South Africa are a very well balanced team and they will enter the 2015 World Cup as one of the favorites. South Africa have a perfect blend of youth and experience.

Although, South Africa have named many young and uncapped players in their 30-man squad, the final 15 will surely be from the side that recently toured Australia for T20 and ODI series.

As expected, South Africa have named AB de Villiers as their captain and Hashim Amla has been named as his deputy.

Although, South Africa lost the recently concluded ODI series in Australia, their well balanced and aggressive unit will be a big threat for any opposition. Their fast bowling unit is surely one of the best in world at the moment and their batting has a lot of depth in it.

The World Cup starts on February 14 and runs until March 29.

The Proteas will open their campaign against Zimbabwe at Seddon Park in Hamilton on February 15.
