NOTE: Stats updated till 6th February 2015

Top two lowest total in ICC Cricket World Cup’s history are by Canada and both are against Sri Lanka. The lowest total is 36 in 2003 and the second lowest in 45 way back in 1979.

Third lowest total is also 45 by Namibia against Australia at Potchefstroom.

Fourth lowest total in ICC Cricket World Cup history is 58 by Bangladesh at Dhaka against West Indies.

Fifth lowest total is 68 by Scotland against West Indies at Leicester.

This time, the ICC Cricket World Cup is in Australia and New Zealand and the pitches there will support the fast bowlers. Teams like Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and England have very good fast bowling attack and it will be interesting to see if they can add more names to this list, especially when they play against the “minnows”.
