Sunrisers have got a steal for the Kiwi for a mere 60 lakh considering the class and temperament of the player. A very effective player up the order he has the ability to switch gears at will. Probably one of the best young players in the world this is what his skipper Brendon McCullum had to say, “I wouldn’t change Kane Williamson for anyone in the world at No.3.”

2. James Neesham- Rs. 50,00,000

Another Kiwi with immense ability both with the bat and all. Played for the Delhi Daredevils in the previous season, at 50 lakhs Neesham is an excellent deal for this price.

3. Kevin Pietersen- Rs. 2,00,00,000

The swashbuckling ex England international was bagged by the Hyderabad franchise for a mere 2 crores. This is an excellent piece of business as Pietersen is arguably one of the most experienced players in the IPL and is familiar with the conditions and demands of the tournament. With no international duty and provided he is injury free, Pietersen is worth every penny.

4. K.C Cariappa- Rs. 2,40,00,000

Did not play domestic cricket. Did not play any first class cricket. Brings home a sum of 2.4 crores! Life seems pretty much like a dream for this Karnataka spinner who was first spotted by AR Srikanth, the team analyst for Kolkata Knight Riders who is also the analyst for Bijapur Bulls. Cariappa represented the Bulls in the Karnataka Premier League and his talent did not go unnoticed. He was asked to bowl in the nets in the Kolkata Knight Riders camp in Hyderabad last year before the Champions League T20. His bidding was probably the fiercest and needless to say it was not without any reason. The man to watch out for!

5. Rahul Sharma- Rs. 30,00,000

6. Albie Morkel- Rs. 30,00,000

Albie Morkel was bagged by the Delhi Daredevils for a paltry 30 lakhs. With the kind of experience and all round ability he brings to the table, he is undoubtedly one of the best buys.

The South African discard was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals for a mere 30 lakhs. With immense t20 experience of 110 matches he has picked up 126 wickets at an average of 22.27. Previously played for the Kings XI Punjab and the Deccan Chargers and is currently a member of the Warriors in the competitive t20 tournament of South African.
