nz

1. Home Advantage

The kiwis are playing all their home games in New Zealand. They have the home advantage when it comes to knowing the conditions and exploiting them fully. The World Cup is all about momentum and if they can carry this form into the next round they will be difficult to overcome. In the last 9 matches that New Zealand have played at home they have only lost one!! 2. Form: The players are in terrific nick. Leading from the front is their captain Brendon McCullum who has showed them they way with his exceptional batting, fielding and leadership ability. His knock of the fastest World Cup half century is just a glimpse of what he is capable of. Their bowlers are firing in all cylinders too, what with Tim Southee notching up a career best of 7-33 with top class display of fast and swing bowling. Trent Boult and Corey Anderson are two players who are playing up to their abilities and they will be the ones to watch out for.

2) Form

The players are in terrific nick. Leading from the front is their captain Brendon McCullum who has showed them they way with his exceptional batting, fielding and leadership ability. Their bowlers are firing in all cylinders too, what with Tim Southee notching up a career best of 7-33 with top class display of fast and swing bowling.

3) Never won it before

The Kiwis have never won the World Cup before. This time they will be raring to go as they have a team capable of lifting the cup coupled with the home advantage. The same desire India had to lift the cup for Sachin.

4) Experience

The Black Caps are a mix of youngsters with a few experienced players, for example the likes of Daniel Vettori, Brendon McCullum, and Ross Taylor. Experience always counts especially when it comes to make or break moments where temperament takes over talent. Something essential to win the World Cup. Steve Waugh would tell you better.

5) Match Winners

The Black Caps have a lot of matchwinners in their team. A matchwinner is someone who could win you the game singlehandedly if no one else performs much like the way Yuvraj Singh did with the bat and ball for India in the last edition. The Kiwis have in their ranks McCullum,Vettori,Ross Taylor,Southee,Guptill who have the ability to take the game away from the opposition singlehandedly.

6) Leadership

Last but certainly not the least is their leader, Brendon McCullum. All World Cup winning teams have one thing in common: an exceptional leader. Be it Imran Khan, Kapil Dev, Steve Waugh or MS Dhoni, they all stepped up when it mattered. McCullum has the same ability to step up when he is needed to and lead the team from the front.
