World Cup 2015: Sachin Tendulkar all set for his TV punditry debut

India’s batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who was part of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup as a player, will provide his expert opinion and analysis during the ICC Cricket World Cup.

Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Sachin Tendulkar is all set to take up the analyst role for a television news channel. This is Sachin’s first cricket related assignment as an analyst since retiring from the game. He will do the analyst role for Headlines Today and Aaj Tak news channel as Rajdeep Sardesai, a TV journalist for Headlines Today tweeted earlier in the day.

“Delighted to have Sachin Tendulkar making his debut as a cricket analyst for World Cup 2015 with Aajtak and Headlines Today. #SachinIsBack,” Rajdeep Sardesai tweeted. 

Sachin will join the HT network from 11th February 2015 as their cricket analyst for World Cup 2015.

This will be a great experience for the massive army of Sachin Tendulkar fans. Although, Sachin retired from ODI cricket in 2012, his fans can still do anything to get a glimpse of their hero.

From a commercial point of view, this is a big win for Headlines Today who are competing with Times Now in the race of most watched English news channel. Sachin’s debut as a cricket analyst will attract a lot of viewers as there will excitement among the viewers to see how Sachin responds with a mic in his hand. Having Sachin Tendulkar on board will surely increase the viewership of Headlines Today and Aajtak.

The World Cup begins on February 14 when New Zealand take on Sri Lanka in the first game. India will take on their arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. The final is scheduled to take place on March 29 in Melbourne.

Sachin Tendulkar will play an exclusive role of an analyst for the duration of 2015 World Cup.
