World Cup 2015: Shahid Afridi first cricketer to 8000 runs, 350 wickets in ODIs

Pakistan’s swashbuckling batsman Shahid Afridi has become the fourth Pakistani batsman to score 8,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket. Afridi, who has  played 395 ODIs for Pakistan, brought his 8,000 ODI runs by smashing a six over the cover during Pakistan vs UAE, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 match.

Shahid Afridi has the highest strike rate among all the Pakistani batsmen who have scored more than 6,000 runs in ODI cricket. Afridi also holds the record for most number for sixes by a batsman in ODI cricket.

Shahid Afridi also became the second all-rounder to score 8,000 runs and pick 300 wickets. However, he is the first to score 8,000 runs and pick up 350 wickets in ODIs.
