IPL: Will MS Dhoni Play For Any Other Franchise After The Two-Year Ban On CSK?

After the two-year ban on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) by the Honorable Supreme Court of India, the biggest question that fans are asking at the moment is- “Will MS Dhoni play for any other franchise?”

For the CSK fans, it will be very hard to imagine MS Dhoni in any other colour jersey than yellow. MS Dhoni is the only captain to lead his side to seven semi-finals, two titles and six finals from eight IPL editions, reports Times of India.

“The Super Kings have benefitted from Dhoni like no other franchise has from any other cricketer,” franchise owner said.

All the other franchises are waiting for the CSK skipper to comment on the situation. Undoubtedly, they will raise their budgets if the Indian ODI skipper once again enters the auction.

“It’s unlikely that Dhoni will ever leave India Cements,”a leading sports channel executive who’s worked with the Team India captain said.

“He just won’t fit in any other team. It’s a question of ideology which began making its way into the IPL. India’s a country where dialect changes every 200 kilometres. It wouldn’t have been easy for a Jharkhand man to live in Tamil Nadu but he’s extremely comfortable there. Chennai is his home,” a marketing executive said.
