Cheteshwar Pujara, who made a brilliant hundred and carried his bat in the first innings, got an absolute peach of a delivery in the first over of the second innings by Dhammika Prasad. Prasad, who was bowling with a heavy bandage on his left hand, couldn’t have bowled a better ball to Pujara after his marathon innings in the first innings. Pujara was completely squared-up and he had no answer to an unplayable delivery by Prasad. Prasad has developed a habit of picking a wicket in the first over of the innings, as he has achieved this feat thrice in this series. He dismissed KL Rahul on the second ball of the first innings. Pujara became the 18th Indian cricketer to score a century and a duck in the same Test match. Pujara also became the first batsman to score a ‘carry the bat’ century and a duck in the same Test.
