This is why Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill were moved to tears

Martin Crowe’s demise has left the cricketing world in grief. Before the start of the opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2016 between India and New Zealand,Allan Wilkins spoke about the batsman’s greatness, the crowd and the players in the middle applauded Crowe’s achievements. There were emotional scenes as New Zealand cricketers Martin Guptill and Ross Taylor were moved to tears. Both the cricketers were extremely close to Crowe and the latter in an article last year had described them as “the two sons I never had”.

Both of them were mentored by Crowe and post his death, Taylor had recalled, “Some of my best innings came about because of his advice the night before. I wouldn’t be the player I was without his influence and guidance.”
