India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami is arguably the best fast bowler on show, in the ongoing series between India and England. Shami, who was away from the game for a very long time due to injury issues, is at his full fitness and bowling as good as we have seen him bowl. He is bowling fast and very accurate.
In the second innings of the third Test match, Mohammed Shami bowled two lethal bouncers to England’s all-rounder Chris Woakes. The first one hit him on the helmet and a pice of it came out. The second one was also very well directed and it to rid of Woakes as top edged it straight into the hands of India’s wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel.
It was a fierce spell of fast bowling by Mohammed Shami on a pitch that was good for batting. Shami is now the leader of India’s fast bowling unit and carrying the responsibility well, he is the second highest wicket-taker for India in the series so far, behind Ravichandran Ashwin.
