IPL 2017: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) press release has confirmed that India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli will miss the initial stages of IPL 2017, starting from the 5th of April after failing to recover fully from the shoulder injury.
Virat Kohli will undergo rehabilitation on his injured shoulder and a further update on his participation in the tournament will come in the second week of April.
This has come as a big blow for RCB after their wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul was ruled out for the tournament with shoulder injury. KL Rahul was RCB’s third highest run scorer in the last season and considering his sparkling form in the home season 2016/17, fans were hoping for a greater show from him in IPL 2017.
