India Premier League (IPL) 2017: MS Dhoni is no more the captain of Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) but he is still one of their best players in Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhoni, who started his IPL career as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and won many laurels for them, has now reached the last stage of his cricket career. He has retired from Test cricket and stepped down as India’s captain in limited-overs cricket. And now, he is only focusing on his batting.
Dhoni is arguably the best finisher in limited-overs cricket history. Over the years, he has played some of the most unbelievable innings for India and won matches single-handedly for his team. MS’ biggest strength is his ability to stay cool and composed under pressure.
In the ongoing tenth edition of IPL, all eyes will be on Dhoni when he takes the field for RPS. When Dhoni was asked to step down for RPS captaincy and Australian captain Steve Smith was given the responsibility to lead the side, there was a wide spread disappointment among Dhoni fans, who were waiting to see him back as captain in IPL. But, Dhoni, being Dhoni, accepted the decision made by franchise owners with grace and he is now working hard on his game for IPL 2017.
Dhoni joined RPS squad just a couple of days ago and he was seen practising his favourite ‘helicopter’ shot in the nets. RPS’ Facebook page uploaded the video of MS Dhoni’s net session in which he was practising hitting big sixes. We all know that he is one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball in the world, and you can see that in the video shared below as well. Watch it here:
