IPL 2017: Shah Rukh Khan Posted A Motivational Message For Gautam Gambhir’s Men

IPL 2017: The two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lost a crucial game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Mohali, on Tuesday. Chasing a modest 167-run total, KKR lost Sunil Narine early but it was their star batsman Chris Lynn, who once again held the innings together and played delightful strokes.

Lynn, who made a comeback after an injury in the last match, produced a sensational 84-run knock off just 52 balls. Things were looking good and in control till the time Lynn was in the middle but after he got run-out, rest of the KKR line-up succumbed to pressure and made a mess of the chase. KKR’s power hitter Yusuf Pathan, who hasn’t even given a single stand-out performance in the tournament so far, got out once again trying to play a big shot. Yusuf has been one of the biggest disappointments for KKR in IPL 2017.

On the other hand, KXIP bowlers bowled brilliantly and pulled the game back in the last phase of the innings. The pick of the KXIP bowlers was Rahul Tewatia who took 2 wickets for 18 runs from his two overs while Mohit Sharma got 2/24 from 3 overs. Sandeep Sharma did not take a wicket but conceded just 31 runs from his four overs.

Gautam Gambhir and KKR fans were very disappointed after the loss but franchise owner Shah Rukh Khan posted a wonderful message for the team after the loss.

“Lost our way a bit tonight…does not mean we can’t reach the destination. Onward with more resolve…lov u boys. @lynny50 well played. Ami KKR,” SRK tweeted.
