ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Pakistan’s fast bowler Junaid Khan is excited to bowl to Indian captain Virat Kohli in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. India and Pakistan will play their first match of the tournament against each other on 4th July 2017. India vs Pakistan is always a mighty clash but because it will be their opening match of all-important ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, Junaid said that he has dismissed Kohli three out of four times they have faced each other. In Pakistan’s last tour of India, Junaid Khan bowled brilliantly in all the matches and got better of Kohli, more often than not.
This is what Junaid Khan said:
“I have dismissed him in three out of the four matches we have faced each other. He is a brilliant batsman but he has failed against me,” Khan told The Express Tribune.
“When I face him, I will consider him the same Kohli. I may be wrong but I think he will also think of me as the same Junaid that has taken his wicket before, which might make him go on the defensive a bit more and therefore lose his wicket,” said Khan.
Junaid also spoke about Pakistan’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and said that he is a good leader who encourages the bowlers to bowl the way they want to.
“I have played two ODI matches under his captaincy against the West Indies and we won both matches, with me claiming three wickets.
“He is a good leader and encourages the bowlers to bowl the way they want to, while also giving his own input.”
