IPL 2017: Virat Kohli and his boys went out to play for the one last time in IPL 2017 at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium against Delhi Daredevils on Sunday. Royal Challengers Bangalore were arguably the worst team in the group stage of the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League. Match after match, the star-studded batting line up of RCB struggled to get going and suffered massive defeats throughout the tournament. In fact, in one of the matches against Kolkata Knight Riders, they got all out for just 49 runs and registered the lowest ever total in IPL history.
When RCB stepped out to play their final match of IPL 2017 against Delhi, their fans were hoping for a consolation win. Captain Kohli batted with a lot of aggression and flare and scored 58 runs off 45 balls, smashing 3 fours and 3 sixes. RCB’s swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle. who struggled to put bat to ball throughout the season, also batted well and scored 48 runs off just 48 balls, smashing 3 fours and 3 sixes.
The highlight of RCB’s innings was a magical stroke by Virat Kohli off Corey Anderson’s bowling that went flat over covers boundary. The way Kohli was batting, it was looking like finally RCB will get a big score but soon the RCB skipper mistimed one off Zaheer Khan’s bowling and was caught at long-off by Shahbaz Nadeem. The moment the catch was taken by Shahbaz Nadeem, Kohli looked miffed with himself as he yelled in frustration. Watch it here:
