IPL 2017: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle is arguably the greatest T20 batsman in the history of the game. He holds the record for the highest individual score in T20 cricket. However, he has been in horrible touch in the ongoing tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2017). In 8 matches, Chris Gayle has scored 152 runs at an average of 19. These numbers are very disappointing for a batsman’s of Gayle’s class and stature.
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday at Chinnaswamy stadium was Chris Gayle’s 100th IPL appearance. KKR skipper won the toss and elected to field first on a hot day in Bangalore. But, his decision turned out to be a good one when his fast bowler Umesh Yadav dismissed Gayle for a golden duck in his 100th IPL appearance.
Yadav bowled a good length delivery and Gayle gave away an easy catch to Gautam Gambhir who was standing at short extra-cover. Watch it here:
