Pakistan’s skipper Sarfraz Khan batted brilliantly and played a much-needed match-winning knock for the team in the must-win game against Sri Lanka. It was not the most exciting to watch as Sri Lanka played very ordinary cricket and gave too many chances in the field to Pakistan.
In the last couple of years, Sarfraz Khan has worked extremely hard on his game and made a big name for himself in Pakistan cricket. In the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2017, barring the opening match against India, Sarfaraz has led Pakistan very authoritatively. He has picked the right team, made the right changes in the middle and kept his troop motivated.
In the middle, Sarfraz keeps things very simple. He is a very aggressive batsman who likes putting the pressure back on the opposition. However, Sarfraz Ahmed felt rather disappointed knowing that only English speaking reporters were present at the press conference.
Sarfraz Ahmed, just like many other Pakistani cricketers, is not very comfortable with English language. Well, over the years, we have seen many Pakistan captains and cricketers entertain us with their broken English. Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was an absolute entertainer when it came to giving post-match interviews. Some of the his interviews are still watched by fans on Youtube.
In the post-match press conference after the match against Sri Lanka, the first thing that the Pakistani skipper asked after getting himself prepared for the reporters to fire questions was, “Saare English waale hi hain kya?” Watch it here:
