The entire nation turns into tricolour every year on 15th August. It is a day that Indians, not just in India but across the world, celebrate with great joy and pride. It is a day that marks the sacrifice of lakhs of people who gave their lives for making our country independent.

On the occasion of India’s 71st Independence day, former Pakistani captain and one of the most loved cricketers in the world, Shahid Afridi took to Twitter and posted a very beautiful and meaningful message for the people of India.

It is true that there are lots disturbances between the armies and political establishment of India and Pakistan, but the people can come together and send a good message across. Shahid Afridi won many hearts with his tweet.

This is what Shahid Afridi wrote:

“Happy Independence Day India! No way to change neighbours, let’s work towards peace, tolerance and love. Let humanity prevail.# HopeNotOut”
