In the recently concluded Test series against England, West Indies won 1 Test and gave tough fight to the English boys in their own backyard. The young guns lifted their game after the first Test and registered a memorable victory in the second.

The third and final Test was a thrilling one but England showed class and composure and sealed the series by winning the Test match. West Indies’ effort was praised by one and all because nobody gave them any chance before the start of the series.

Lord’s Cricket Ground’s official Youtube account has been asking cricketers around the world their all-time XI and their latest video features West Indies captain Jason Holder.

For the opening slot, Jason Holder picked Matthew Hayden and Kumar Sangakkara. He said that Hayden is one of the most devasttating opening batsmen in cricket history and Sangakkara’s record speaks for itself.

At number 3, he picked former Australian captain Ricky Ponting. Holder said that he is one of best batsmen of all time and his record, once again, speaks for itself. At number 4, the West Indian captain picked Brian Lara. Holder said that Lara is his all time favourite batsman.

At number 5 and 6 Jason picked former Indian batsman and highest run scorer in the history of Test cricket Sachin Tendulkar, and former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis, respectively.

For his electrifying batting and top-class wicketkeeping, Holder picked former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist.

In the bowling department, Holder picked Shane Warne, Dale Steyn, Sir Curtly Ambrose and Glenn McGrath.
