As India thrashed Sri Lanka in the second test by an innings and a handsome margin. Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest bowler in the history of the game to pick 300 test wickets.

Ashwin reached the milestone in 54 matches and he surpassed Dennis Lillee who previously held the record in his name. Dennis Lillee, the Australian pace sensation scalped 300 wickets in 56 matches and Ashwin got the better of the record yesterday at Nagpur.
In a video interview with the fielding coach R Sridhar, the spinner talked about how his journey has been so sensational. The video was posted on bcci.tv. As Ashwin scripted history at Nagpur he revealed his favorite wickets among these 300 test wickets he now has to his name.
Ashwin made his test debut in 2011 against the West Indies and since then there is no looking back for him. He recalled how his first test wicket of Darren Bravo will always be special about him. He then also said that the wicket of David Warner in Bangalore in 2017 and that of AB De Villiers in Nagpur in 2015.
