Rohit Sharma Goes Past MS Dhoni In A Big Record For Captaincy In T20s

Rohit Sharma is having a gala time being the captain of the Indian cricket team in the absence of Virat Kohli. While Rohit’s debut ODI series as a captain ended on a winning note, the T20 debut as a captain too began on with a handsome win at Cuttack.

India defeated Sri Lanka authoritatively with a hefty margin of 93 runs.

Having lost the toss India was asked to bat first and India made sure that they post a total good enough.

Rohit couldn’t do much with the bat but he became only the second Indian batsman to score 1500 international T20 runs after Virat Kohli.

In the match yesterday Lokesh Rahul top scored for India with 61 runs. In the latter half of the series Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 4 wickets and ascertained India’s Win.

Rohit Sharma has done skipper duties for Mumbai Indians with great efficiency. With the win in his debut as a captain in T20 internationals he now has 50 wins as a captain in the shortest format. Rohit Sharma as a captain has achieved this half century of wins in 81 games.

Rohit Sharma has gone past MS Dhoni, the coolest captain ever as Dhoni managed 50 wins in 86 games.

Rohit Sharma also happens to be the highest win percentage captain in the IPL. Seems like captaincy is suiting Hitman to perfection.
