Shoaib Malik was playing for Shahid Afridi’s Foundation Red Team and Babar Azam was playing for Shahid Afridi’s Foundation Green Team. It was a 10 over match and the seventh over of Red’s innings which went for 36 helped their score to reach 210 in 10 overs.
It was surprising to see Babar Azam come in for bowling the seventh over. Babar Azam bowls off spin and he was just decimated by Shoaib Malik all across the park as he took some serious beating by Malik’s willow.
Despite hitting 6 sixes an over and posting a mammoth total, the Reds lost the game as in response to their 210, Babar Azam hit a 26 ball century with 11 sixes. Babar Azam surely took his revenge nicely and with interest.
The winning runs were hit by Shahid Afridi to see the SAF Green team home. It was only recent that Pakistan’s coach compared Babar Azam, the 23 year old batting sensation from Pakistan with Virat Kohli.
Babar Azam however did not like the competition and said that Kohli’s the number 1 batsman by all means.
