Rajasthan Royals started the journey of IPL as underdogs. They left everyone stunned after winning the very first edition of the IPL and put forth a narrative that the aren’t the underdogs as they were being understood.
But with time the problems only got bigger for the Rajasthan Royals. Then the team was alleged for spot fixing and had to undergo a 2 year ban along with Chennai Super Kings. The IPL 2018 will see the comeback of both these teams who have been absent in the last two editions.
The RR has only retained one player while CSK, MI and RCB have retained 3 players. The Rajasthan Royals have retained only Steve Smith and they would look to make a new team and fabricate new hopes as they come back to the IPL after two years.
Here are the 5 players the Rajasthan Royals Must Go For In The Auctions
1. Kagiso Rabada
Rabada is a fine bowler and he proved his success across all formats of the game. If they can get Rabada to lead their pace attack than they would have a really nice bowling attack already.
2. Marcus Stoinis
Stoinis is a great all rounder who has impressed everyone with his all round skills. He can be lethal with the bat and very handy with the ball. Ben Stokes is caught up in a case and might not play the IPL, if he doesn’t then Stoinis would be one of the hottest all rounders going into the auctions.
3. Ajinkya Rahane
Rahane is a very handsome batsman and he has played some great knocks for the Rajasthan Royals. Rahane can be explosive with the bat and makes a great opener. Rajasthan Royals Must get Rahane back to their side. He would be perfect at the top of the order.
4. Harbhajan Singh
He’s had the best economy in the IPL so far and is among the leading wicket takers in the IPL. Harbhajan has set his base price as 2 crores and the RR can get him easily. When you have such a spinner in your team then you have an advantage already.
5. Jason Roy
The English batsman just played a splendid knock of 181 in the first ODI against Australia. Roy is a destructive batsman and makes a great opener for the shortest format of the game.
