All the former cricketers who were legends during their tenures of play and in fact every member of the cricket fraternity now seem to have consensus over the fact that Virat Kohli is the best batsman of the era. The latest to join the list is the former Aussie captain, Michael Clarke. Michael Clarke picks Kohli as the best ODI batsman to have ever played the game.
Clarke feels that Virat Kohli is the greatest ODI player of not just this era but of all eras. Michale Clarke hails Virat Kohli as the best ODI batsman of all times.
Michael Clarke is an Aussie legend with 7981 ODI runs to his name at an average of 44.5 and this is a big compliment for Kohli.
It would not be a surprise if dictionaries soon change the definition to Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli has indeed emerged as the best modern-day batsman and we have said this about a million times now. The stalwart batsman got his 34th One Day International Hundred fin just his 205th game.
This player is a different class altogether. He is on the verge of getting 10000 ODI runs and he is now not far behind Sachin Tendulkar’s record of the most ODI centuries.
Virat Kohli is now only 15 centuries short of equalling Sachin Tendulkar’s world record of most ODI centuries. Sachin has 49 ODI hundreds from 463 and this young 29-year-old lad has smashed 34 in just 205.
