Shubman Gill Names The Star Indian Player Who Helped Him A Lot To Improve

Shubman Gill is winning all praises for his stellar run of form in the U19 World Cup. As India emerged the title winners in the 12th edition of the ICC under 19 World Cup, Shubman Gill emerged as India’s future star of Indian cricket. Shubman Gill was the leading run getter in the tournament and bagged the honour for being the ‘Man Of The Tournament.’

Shubman Gill has shown great signs of form in the tournament. He’s shown that the future of Indian cricket is pretty safe in his hands. A lot of cricket fans have already started to haul him as the next Virat Kohli. Shubman is indeed a young sensation in the making.

Shubhman Credits His Success To Yuvraj

Shubman Gill also comes from Punjab like Yuvraj Singh. While Shubman won the man of the tournament award in the recently concluded ICC U19 World Cup, Yuvraj was the man of the tournament in the 2011 World Cup.
But there’s more that these two share. Shubhman revealed how Yuvraj Singh helped him throughout.

Shubman Gill recalled how Yuvraj helped him during their days at NCA. He often revealed that Yuvraj gave him some very vital tips and also batted alongside him.

“Yuvi paaji (Yuvraj Singh) gave a lot of guidance when he was at the NCA. He told me things about on and off the field, he gave me tips and batted along with me,”


Shubman will now join the Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming Indian Premier League. He’ll surely be excited to be a part of such a good team. Shubman Gill is a sensation in the making and the world better watch out for his young lad to shine one day.
