Twitter Slams Hardik Pandya For A Golden Duck In The 5th ODI

Rohit Sharma might have returned to form with a brilliant century but nothing changed for Hardik Pandya. The sting of low scores for Hardik Pandya in this series continues. Today as action shifted to Port Elizabeth, Hardik Pandya got out for a golden duck.

When Rohit Sharma got out to Lungi Ngidi in the 43rd over it was a big blow to India’s chances to go beyond 300. Then while everyone anticipated that MS Dhoni would come to the crease, Hardik Pandya walked out only to perish on the first ball. Hardik Pandya was out the very first ball to Lungi Ngidi. This only adds to the miserable form the all rounder has been in during this series.

India has set a target of 275 for the hosts riding on a smashing century by Rohit Sharma. No other batsman could go past 50 and India fell short of the 300 mark after being asked to bat first by Aiden Markram.

After Shikhar Dhawan’s dismissal a little partnership got going between Rohit and Kohli. But that partnership was brought to an end due to mix up between them costing Kohli’s run out. Virat Kohli got out for 36 runs from 54 balls. He was obviously infuriated at Rohit Sharma for the run out. Rohit scored 115 from 126 balls on his way to returning to form.
