Virat Kohli’s Fine Exhibition Of Sportsmanship In The Pink ODI Makes Him Earn All The Respect

There’s no doubt about Virat Kohli being the greatest batsman of the modern era. He’s unarguably the best and the world of cricket has settled for it. 34 ODI tons from just 206 games make him the king of the limited overs format.

But he’s also shown once again that he’s also once of the best sportsman around. His fine display of sportsmanship during the Johannesburg ODI is winning over the internet.

Kohli’s helping hand to Morkel


In the first over of his second spell, Morne Morkel managed to get an edge from Kohli’s bat. The ball went in the air and excited everyone as it was a big fish at offer. The ball however only landed in no man’s land.

Morne Morkel tried a full stretch drive but he couldn’t reach the ball and ended up injuring himself. As the big Morne Morkel toppled, he was in immense pain and yelling.

Kohli showed a great sportsmanship as he was quick to express his concern for Morkel. The Indian captain offered help to Morkel and the big guy fortunately didn’t get injured badly. He was up and bowling again.
Talking about the match, riding on Dhawan’s century India set a target of 290.

Virat Kohli once again was splendid on way to his inning of 75 and Dhoni played a very vital cameo of 42.There was a very crucial partnership of 158 between Kohli and Dhawan which ensured India stayed in a good position.

Shikhar Dhawan, the stunning left handed opener has shown great form in this ODI series. After two handsome half centuries in the series he scored a blistering century of just 99 balls.
