However, in terms of matches, Lara takes the lead. Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara took 195 innings to reach 10000 test runs. Following them on the list is Kumara Sangakkara who too took 195 innings.
Besides Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar are the other legendary Indian batsmen to feature on the list. The list also features the former Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting and the former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene.
