Colin Munro, one of the best-limited overs batsman for New Zealand has decided to opt out of test cricket. Colin Munro has been extraordinarily sensational for New Zealand especially in the shortest format of the game.

Colin Munro at present is the top-ranked batsman in the ICC rankings for batsmen in T20Internationals. Colin Munro has so far played 39 One Day Internationals and 45 T20 Internationals for the Kiwis and has featured in just one test. In the shortest format of the game, he enjoys a whopping strike rate of 163 and has smashed 3 tons in T20 Internationals.

Colin Munro last played a test, his only test so far against South Africa in 2013. He ended up scoring just 15 runs from 2 innings. Talking about only focussing on limited overs cricket and making sure he contributes to the team in the 2019 World Cup, Munro said
“I’m still 100 percent committed to playing for the Black Caps and Auckland Aces in the shorter formats and have some big goals I’d like to achieve,”

Colin Munro has been bought by the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League auctions for 1.90 crores. Delhi would be hoping to win its first title having roped in a rich pool including Colin Munro, Glen Maxwell, Gautam Gambhir and other amply talented domestic players. In the previous edition of the Indian Premier League, Colin Munro played for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
